tantrum was set up to give parents and children something they had never experienced before. A fun salon for children with world leading hair styling, combined with a tear free experience for Mum and Dad. We then wanted to use our experience in children’s hairdressing to create a unique and innovative range of hair care products that were just for kids. And with that the tantrum concept was created.

The founders of tantrum worked in professional jobs in London before leaving in February 2007 and 9 months later (yes bizarrely 9 months!), the tantrum salon was born. tantrum is much more than a hair salon. It is a philosophy. A new way of combining philanthropy with business. The salon itself was always established to donate its profits to our charity, tantrum for kids. The founders were inspired by the volunteering and fundraising work they had done for a number of schools and charities and wanted to create a business that would actively support their own charity. The two halves of the entity could not exist without each other.
