The new look Asda Living Stratford and tantum, the UK’s No.1 salon for kids, are looking for Stratford’s budding Justin Biebers and Hannah Montanas with local parents being invited to nominate their child to become the face of a brand new styling product.

tantrum is teaming up with Asda Living to find a bright-young-thing to feature on the iconic product packaging of a soon to be launched styling product.

The tantrum team will be holding an open search and hoping to spot fresh-faced, local talent on 4th December at Asda Living, Stratford.

One lucky winning boy and girl from Stratford will each receive a George makeover prize worth £50, a hamper of tantrum goodies and speed through to the final selection in the contest to become the brand new face of tantrum at Asda Living.

To enter children must be aged between 3 and 11 years old. It couldn’t be easier to nominate your child… just pop down to the store anytime between 12 and 4pm to fill out an entry form and submit a photograph of your youngster. tantrum head stylist Mya and an Asda Living children style expert will select and announce the winners at 5pm live in store.

It’s going to be a fun-filled day with free hair styling services and advice from the experts at tantrum, plus scrumptious prize giveaways, so be sure to check it out….

Imagine our surprise when we were called by BBC Radio 2 who had been discussing the issue of tangled hair on their drive time programme the day before and wanted some expert advice from the tantrum team. The show’s Business Presenter, Rebecca Pike, had been describing the difficulties she has when brushing her daughter’s hair and like many parent’s had exasperated every method possible – or so she thought!

One of the most common questions we get asked in the salon is “what do I do with tangled hair?”. Sometimes it’s obvious how they form and sometimes it just isn’t! Sometimes they brush out easily and sometimes it’s tears all round! We therefore thought that we were in a perfect position to try and help parents all over the country deal with this frustrating problem.

Hello everyone and welcome to the new tantrum blog! We’re all super excited about this funky new technology and hopefully we’ll be able to provide some interesting information and advice about all things to do with kids’ hair!

We’re hoping that by using the blog we’ll be able to tackle some of the key issues to do with children’s hair and provide a forum for parents to discuss them and provide useful advice to one another. We’ll also be able to keep you updated about what we’re up to over here at tantrum and get your feedback on any new wacky ideas we come up with.

On that note, we found out two days ago that we will be opening in the Hamleys stores in Dublin and Glasgow which will be fantastic. We’re on a very tight schedule as we’re hoping to be open by the last week of October this year (less than five weeks away). Fingers crossed!
